HI,

i have to make some .stl files for materialising.

The problem is I want to combine different parts as one part.

I think it's not possible to make an .stl from an assembly?! :?:

So is there any possibility to combine some parts into one part so i can save it as an .stl file??

Many thanks to answer my problem.

I think that you can derive an assembly into a part? Correct me if I'm wrong you guys, as I haven't done it before.

Thank you very much for your quick answers,

but if i choose derived component, the only thing i can select is an .ipt??

but if i take two parts into this part i can't constrain them becaus I'm in part mode. Maybe i can solve this by replace the center point but it's not a very easy way.
Another problem(?) is that the part is inserted as an 'body as work surface' isn't that a problem for creating an .stl?

Make an assembly. Start a new part, start the derive command, select the assembly.

As Sean said it is just selecting the assembly to derive from within a new part file. However, if you want this new part to be independant of the assembly components it was derived from, you need to break the link in the ipt.
