I'm guessing that within the last month or so of recent updates, that something has changed with the program. Because now when I make a change to titleblock properties, it takes a lot longer to update. I used to say I didn't need that checkbox while in a drawing, but now I think I may.

Can you confirm if something has changed?

It's not that the updates take a long time, its that Inventor doesn't show the updates to the titleblock when we call the Update method of the document. It actually works in Inventor 2011 or higher but we are using the Inventor 2010 API in order support that version forward. For now you'll have to do something like activating the regular properties dialog (and just closing it), or saving the document. Once IV does an internal update you'll see the results.

This will not be an issue for the next release of Inventor.
