First, the software i'm using.
1. Inventor 2011
2. Visual Basic 2010 Express(free version)

Secondly, I'm trying to get Inventor and Visual Basic to work together but I'm having little success. I've done alot of research, and googling but the more I search I get alot of different answers. I just need cut to the chase answers on how too get these two software working together.

Things I do know.
1. You have to switch .NET Framework to 3.5
2. You have to build a .DLL file from Visual Basic for Inventor(very confused on how to do that, i.e. Class Library, or Window Forms App.)
3. you have to get Inventor .DLL file so it can talk with Visual Basic

I just need help and it seems that this Forum is the best one I've seen by far.

If anyone reads this needs more info(my files, code, etc...) i will be happy to send.

Thanks for the help.

It sounds like you're trying to create an Add-In. Try these resources...
