I think we've been over this and can't remember the exact reason for the current behavior, but...

Please make TAB (and Shift-TAB) navigate between fields like tabstops in standard Windows forms.

LOL! Today, or more specifically this evening will be my first run at IV5 on my new machine. I needed IV 2009 on my old machine (which is setup with Ipropwiz) so I never even tried the new one.

I don't think I even have an auth code. How does that work?? Is one requested when I fire it up??

i Second AND Third that Tab and shift+Tab comment. This is my biggest and only complaint. This is really slowing us down.....

Thanks!

Keep up the good work!

Can we get iPropWiz to work as a standalone app without an installation of ANY Autodesk Softwares...so that a non-engineering workstation could edit iProperties :D

...this could clearly open the door for more sales ;)

Some would say why?...some would say why not? ...the point is if you could effectively config which iProperties are accessible for edit per seat...correct Sean or Neil?

Forgive me if this is a carryover from v5 wishes, but can we have a config editor switch to make this dialogue go away. For us, it's a daily nuisance.

I'd like to see the ability to sort the browser in the assembly view.

Prefilled fields purposes translations etc.
I mean that for example in Excel file are prefilled fields in different columns (Language1, Language2, Language3 ...).
When choosed Language1 from list, other fields are filling automatically.

With Lists, there is the value and the description (thanks for that!). It would be of great value to have the "Value" populate an iProp (as it does) but also allow the "Description" to populate a different iProp with one click.

This may be possible with Vault or iLogic but It would be awesome if the prefix number in a filename could be extracted. If "801225 End Plate Gusset" is the filename, I would like to see 801225 get stuffed into its own property. A rule that could be setup to extract the first X digits in a filename would work just fine.

I've got another one but I can *almost* do it with parameter functions.

I would like to have a switch that would allow an iProp to be copied (into a component) from two different source files.

801225 exists in Wldmts 801200 and 801300. I would like the subject of '225 to say "801200, 801300"

I suppose there is another wish in here. The ability to copy a property to a different property in the receiving component.

This is how I was approaching this.

Wldmts : Stock number = (Custom) Wldmt RH, and Wldmt LH (2 Custom iProps)
Component : Subject = <Wldmt RH>, <Wldmt LH> where either Custom iProp from the Wldmts would be copied in depending on if it was a LH or RH Wldmt.

Hmmm.. that seemed a lot more complicated last night at 3:00 am. LOL!

It would be pretty slick to just copy the Stock Number from the Wldmt into the component's Subject and with a little toggle, switch on "append to existing iProp".

Can we have the ability to edit/create formulas from the iprop wizard? Right now they are locked and if the formula needs editing, we have to close the iprop wiz and fire up the iproperties dialog.

I would like to have an option (checkbox) to have iPropwiz automatically pop-up on/after document save to enforce fill-in action to users.
It's prolly programmable from within Inventor, but if it's already included in the program that would be awesome.

Maybe if there aren't that many new feature requests this time around, perhaps there is any opportunity to work on the speed of open time. I'm getting anywhere from 4 to 8 seconds to initially open the PE.

Any chance you could add an option to limit total character counts in specific iProperties fields :D ...like 40 Characters, we have a limit instilled by our ERP (SAP <sigh>) that is at this point not going to change anytime soon :(
