We're looking to Add a steel/aluminum Detailer to our Depratment. about 85% AutoCAD Mechanical right now, with about 5% in IV Sheet Metal and 10% other. This may not appeal to most of you solid modelers, but if you know of anyone, pass this along, please.

We are located in North West Tampa area. No telecommuting available. hourly wage based on experience. Shoot me a P.M. if you are interested.

We design custom Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Carbon steel (and glass) railing systems for small residences and 50 story high rises.

Were in the same business - interesting. 85% Mechanical is about our average also.

I'm currently building some AutoCAD 3D applications to ease the pain.

Good Luck!

Any 3-D we do, gets done in Inventor. We do alot of "pre-sales" modeling in IV so we can render images to give to the customer...they love it...Also, we use IV for installation instructions...the .ipn files are good for iso assemblies, as well as movies. Also, we do 100% of our die design in IV, as it allows us to quickly create system assemblies and check for interference and such.

I got my hands on a trial of 2012 AutoCAD Mechanical...the constraints and parametric applications are amazing...it is just short of working with IV in sketch mode...now to convince the $$$ people this is what we need.

Chad...you might want to solicit the local CC's (community college) or Tech Schools...you may find an experienced individual...or a spark in some young gun?

I'll pass the word around my network...good luck...oh and make them demonstrate their knowledge.
