Another piping wish. Once a route is completted, it would be nice to change the length of a segment without having to go back into the route editor. It would be nice if we could simply "show" the dimensions and double click the one we want to change. Jumping in and out of route editor for minor length changes is quite the PITA.

And speaking of PITA..... INSERT function while placing a fitting in a line is so %@#$*&!! jittery that it is almost impossible to get the right spot. If there are multiple possible solutions, it almost always JUMPS to one you don't want JUST as you click the mouse. :bang: :bang: :bang:

I dont want much. But what I do want is the ability to "joggle" the dimension leader lines to avoid features close to the line (like you can with ordinate dims)

I had this when I used ProE almost 10 years ago, and miss it.

Inside the IDW there should NOT be a "master" view. I should be able to drag any projected view and adjust the other views linked to it. Plus, I should be able to go into any view and adjust the hidden line display. I shouldn't have to open each view, hoping that I find the "master" view.

It's very simple, why does one Autodesk's flagship products have the worst text editor? Make it like the text editor in AutoCAD the all will be well. :bang:

In case it closes soon, I have some more (and one repeated) multi-body requests:

1. Name solids incrementally. Like excel where I can drag the corner of the cell. I might have 30 solids for one assembly 2615-03-01.....2615-03-30, it takes too long to copy and paste in the browser.

2.Enable extrude (or other features) to split a solid body into two bodies in the same operation.

3. Allow moving of solids in the browser. I don't see why they need to be feature dependent, that store the features with them anyway. I would like to be able to group into my assemblies for ease of access. Which leads to my next request.

4. Browser folders for solids. Like in assemblies, so I can group them based on the assemblies they will form.

5. Highlight tool for sketches and features in the browser. I currently have over 250 solids, 1000 parameters, hundreds of sketches in my master part, sometimes naming it isn't enough to make it stand out. A few key sketches could be RMB -> highlight, so it stands out in the browser tree.

6. Select multiple solids for mirror, pattern, etc, and create all new solids. Currently only one solid may be selected at a time. I know this my not be used often but when it is, it is tedious.

7. This is the repeat but it is an important one IMO: Allow select face of any solid as the split/trim tool. Solidworks has this and I quite like it.

8. Select tangent faces or edges. Perhaps an invert selection tool for the part environment.. why not, wouldn't hurt?

When error is given concerning "this is not checked out to you" :

At least give the possibility to steal the check in !! Very annoying when making an iassembly using iparts.

Please give us another thread option, leaving the current one (for graphic representation + hole note) in place, and adding one that actually cuts into the model (for stl export and rapid prototyping).

Ability to "ABORT". Just listening to the cooling fan ramp up on my PC is enough to tell me the last command will not work. Instead of my computer grinding away for the next 15 minutes, let me stop the command!

Copy and paste: Part and constraint

I use the copy and past a lot in assembly's. It would be great if you can also copy the constraints with it when it has to be attached to the same part, only at another location.

I would like projected geometry to remain associative to the original after redefining the sketch plane they are projected into. I would also like to be able to select all sketch items of a certain type (construction, centreline projected etc) in one go. i.e. in a sketch be able to right click and select all construction geometry, or to be able to isolate different types of geometry.

Frame Generator:

Content Center elements placed in the Frame Generator take the file name from a pre-determined formula. Spec-Stock number. This is all well and good, but different companies do thier file naming and BOM's differently. It would be a very helpful thing if the file naming could come from the Content Center information, which is customizable, therefore giving the USER the option to decide how FG parts are named.

Example: Our parts lists for frames need to show the part number AND cut length. In order to group by part number, I've had to add a formula to the part number column in the BOM which combines Stock Number and length. Stock number I fill in with our actual part number. This works, except that if I try to use this in the CC,... now all of my FG parts are NAMED the stock number. This is not good. So now I've had to reset the stock number to a field that is closer to the file name we want to see, and use another field that was previously unused (cost center) as our part number... and change my formula accordingly. Then I have to re-adjust all of the parts lists to show the correct columns... etc. if I could just set the file name in the CC... all of this working around goes away. Users need ot have control of this stuff... not the system. :loco:

When I copy and paste parts from one assembly to another, I'd like the common constraints to be copy and pasted as well.

Usually, I have to steal portions of an assembly (instead of the whole assembly). If I copy multiple parts from a single assembly, the constraints that hold these parts together in the first model should be the same in the pasted into model. It would be pretty sweet if I could paste the parts into the new assembly and already have some constraints in place.

Iassembly: I would like to use legacy part lists from my iassembly, because right now we can only have a structured partlist.
