FYI - with the save restriction removed, and update part number with filename option checked, since there is no filename, iPropWiz places "N/A" in the iproperty. Small fish.

I was glad to see this restriction lifted but my enthusiasm is muted now, in expectation that drawings will now hit the floor with "N/A" in parts lists.

Jerry,

I'll look into updating this on the first save of the document.

[2012/01/05] The current update (5.0.4387.39146) includes the following:

Supported languages: English, Dutch, French, German, Greek, Italian, Norwegian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish.

  • Property Editor: Exported physical properties for assembly documents now reflect the current status in Inventor. If mass properties are out of date in the Inventor document, the corresponding exported iPropWiz physical properties (mass, area, volume) are shown as "N/A". These properties are updated once the user updates the mass properties in Inventor. This might not occur until the document is next saved. The automatic update of these properties in assembly documents was removed for performance reasons.

To update follow the instructions here:

http://www.ipropwiz.com/updates.html

If you have not yet downloaded iPropWiz v5, the base installers have also been updated. Simply download the trial version.

[2012/04/26]

We have recently released iPropWiz 5.5 which is an update that works on Inventor 2013 only. In order to enable users to have iPropWiz 5.0 run on Inventor versions prior to 2013, and run iPropWiz 5.5 on Inventor 2013 we had to make a substantial change to the initial release of iPropWiz 5.5. In addition, to run both versions on the same machine required a change to iPropWiz 5 that means that you need to uninstall your current version and install the latest build.

A second issue common to both iPropWiz 5.0 & 5.5 was identified and fixed today.

Consequently, we will only have full installers available for the next few weeks to ensure that all users get updated to compatible versions. Please take the time to upgrade to the latest version(s). Your activated license will be retained during the uninstall / reinstall process, and is valid for both iPropWiz 5.0 and iPropWiz 5.5.

The current updates ( iPropWiz5 - 5.0.4499.37174 / iPropWiz 5.5 - 5.5.4499.38303) include the following:

  • General: Enable use of iPropWiz 5.0 (Inventor 2010-2012) and iPropWiz 5.5 (Inventor 2013) on the same machine.
  • Property Editor: Fixes issue where expression selected from list is overwritten with evaluated value.

You can download the latest installers at:

An update to iPropWiz 5.5 (Inventor 2013) is available. There is no update to iPropWiz 5.0 (Inventor 2012 and earlier)

[2013/01/06] The current update (5.5.4754.6049) includes the following:

Supported languages: English, Dutch, French, German, Greek, Italian, Norwegian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish.

  • Configuration Editor: Fixed issue with importing list data from Excel file.
  • Property Editor: Model extents calculations now turn off all work features before evaluation.
  • Property Editor: Mass properties incorrectly reported in some complex assemblies. This is an Inventor bug expected to be fixed in an upcoming service pack. This iPropWiz update reduces the chance of incorrect results being displayed.

To update, follow the instructions here:

Due to reports of crashes caused by the new build we have replaced the recent update with the previous stable version on the website. We will hopefully have a new build posted in the next couple of days.
