the ability to automatically warn of any interferances in an assembly as they occur

or even better...

make a option to make parts solid (so other parts wouldn't go through them)

ability to scale a part/body/feature/anything without having to make a derived part

To be able to drive constraints in an Inventor Presentation File

To be able to drive multiple constraints at one time

To be able to setup a script of constraints to drive one after another or at the same time (such as to simulate the operations of a machine on an assembly line)

To be able to analyze interferences and potentially dangerous amounts of stress being exerted on parts while running a script like the one I just described

Sheet metal model.
Linked flat pattern file in specific path.
For example the procedure in sheet metal part.
Flat pattern > Right click > export file as dxf.
I wish to be a linked dxf file that updated automatically.

Tube and pipe loses opacity as you are editing a pipe run or route. I'd like ot see it work the way standard assembly works, you click on a sub assembly or route and everything else goes opaque. As it is I have a command shortcut I use to force it, but as I switch in and out of pipe runs and routes I am constantly using that shortcut. very annoying!

multi body parts enhancements - parts library like content center
multi body parts enhancements - parts library like content center

We now use multi body parts for creating large assemblies within a multi body part

There should be a parts library like content center so you can bring in common parts

Allow library parts derived into multi body parts to be moved with "Grip Snap" like command

Maybe we could have a simple "move component" or "grip snap" command like we have in assemblies, then we can derive in commonly used parts or library parts and accurately move them.

3D sketch should be better with more parametric editabilty.

I use 3D sketch as my sweep path for handrail tubing on walkways and stairways. I find it a bit limited.

My wish list for iLogic and Vault

1. ilogic - open file from vault read only or checked out
2. ilogic - download file from vault (not inventor file)
3. ilogic - get a list from vault where file is used (open file from list)
4. ilogic - check in file to vault (with dwf.)
5. ilogic - checkout file from vault
6. ilogic - check if filename exist in vault (unique filename)
7. ilogic - vault Auto File Numbering Schemes
8. ilogic - add a new file to vault (with dwf.)

Allow views to be scaled by dragging a corner of the view instead of editing the view and inputting a numeric value.

Allow views to be changed from one representation to a different representation of the same assembly.

When you change a sub assembly from within an assembly, the actual sub assembly file doesn't update and your print is outdated until you actually open the file.

My wishlist for 2012?
The same as its been since Rev 3.....

In-Stream modifiers for Dimensions!!!!!

I'd like to see the dimension command bring up a dialogue box where the user can select ALL the options he needs for the next few dimensions he needs to put in. I.E. Pre-fixed text, Post text, symbols, feature control symbols, etc. Select the Apply button, the menu "rolls up", the user inserts the dims needed with those modifiers, then can go back to the command's dialogue box and deselect or change the modifiers he needs for the next few dimensions and so on. Ex-CADDS5 users will know what I'm refering to.

This would really streamline the dimension command and thus speed up the process. No more having to insert the dimension and than having to go back and edit. Granted its become better with the ability to have the option of editing the dimension when inserted but it's still a royal pain to have to do this for each dimension as you insert it.

Ravi and Par, do you hear me? We discussed this at AU.

I would like the frame generator to be smart enough to remove the fillets between the web & the flange when the member is notched. This is what would be done by a fabricator when they make the beam connection and would make the drawings look "right".
