Is there a way to see what version is installed on a PC. I'm doing the auto updates w/ the UPDATE folder under the config file. Wondering if there's a way to check if updates are getting installed. I did a check in ADD/REMOVE programs and it just says 4.0.0.

Thanks

In the Configuration Editor, Help > About.

Neil
I'd like to make a wish that the version is put in the standard users iprop window? Then I can just send around an email asking the user to give me their version and it's done.

The way I'm set up is the config is on the network and setup is password protected for obvious reasons. So the only way to check other machines is for me to go around and check them by logging into setup.

This is an issue cause I'm the one with the the password issue where it only works from 1 PC. The password doesn't work on other PCs.

Thanks

We can do that but I'm not sure of why you need it. To update all users, simply place the updates in the \Updates folder below the configurations folder. The add-in will be updated on each machine the next time they start Inventor.

I see now, you want to ensure that the update actually occurs?

Yep, you got it Neil. Networks are great and make life easy, but there always seem to be goblins or IT tweaking rights or antivirus and firewalls.

Just wanna make sure there up to date like you say they should. And FYI, it does update wonderfully.

Thanks
