In SWX 2006 if you are working in a Design Table and you accidently miss a dimension the table is closed and requires the user wait a second or so to RMB Edit Table and then wait another second or so while it opens again. This causes a lot of trouble during classroom instruction with all of the compounded wait time as the problem bounces around the room of 25 students.
Has this been fixed in r2007 to give the user absolute control over when they want to close the table?

Try right clicking the design table and opeing it in its own window......then it doesn't close until you close excel.

Then how do you click in the SWX graphics window to add a variable to the spreadsheet? Even with Excel and SWX tiled side by side I am in one program or the other. Don't see a way to do this.

"Edit Table in new window" just as Jason said. Switch to the SW window, double-click the variables you want added to the table, switch back to the Excel window and close it. 99% of the time, I just create two configurations with changes to all the parameters that vary....then have SW autocreate the design table for me.
