Randall Newton has links to some court documents showing the first salvos in the ADSK vs ODA war.

A judge has granted ADSK's request for a retraining order against the ODA.

The funny part to me is the $10,000 bond ADSK had to put up to file the restraining order.. $10k. That's like half a penny to you and me....(pocket lint maybe?)

Score so far: ADSK:1 ODA:0

Personally I think the ODA should just remove the code that prevents the TrustedDWG popup from showing. Most experienced users will know that while it's not 100% "trusted" that the DWG will, with most certainly, open in DWG applications. You are just not "preventing" the popup from showing.

Agreed Sean...just not worth the hassle for the ODA....and runs the risk of putting them under.

my opinion. the trusted dwg popup gives me a negative impression of adsk products. a msg telling me if I open up a translated dwg my adsk software will crash does not exactly make me feel safe.
when 2007 came out there was a copy and paste issue from 2006 and pre. 2007 would crash(been fixed now)
2004 was rock solid, after that I dont know.
