We'd just have half as many days, then.

3. No STEP or SAT files allowed. You have to model it yourself. If it's an assembly we'll allow SAT or STEPS for small items such as nuts and bolts etc.. Ask if you are not sure.

Okay if I use a sat file for a prop?

and are we supposed to upload the part model as well as the render(s)?

Yes, Props (SAT, STEP, etc) are permitted for props. from my understanding of the rules.

Upload the rendering only, models will be requested of the finalists.

When your caliper skips a tooth throw it away... or tear it apart and model it in Inventor!

Yeah, I have to agree with you there Diemaker. Not sure what can be done to help drum up support.

Perhaps some people are thinking they their company would STILL not pay for travel and hotel even if they won a free pass??

I thought mine wouldn't but I entered anyhow. Turns out they would, but I'm motivated more by the challenge of entering than the prospect of prizes.

Same here. Where's the competitive spirit? I would have entered for bragging rights if nothing else.

Yep, we are having layoffs for slow sales. I think it would be rather callous to ask to be flown to Vegas under those circumstances.

Just for the record, that's not why I didn't enter. I have never used Studio, so it would just be a rookie attempt.

I frankly didn't want to waste the judges time...
