I was able to successfully setup mapping per the YouTube series located here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fekVuBLi6Tc

I still can not get where after a file is revised in Vault, the Vault revision property is synced back to the file property. I want Vault to control the revision number but want the file property to update when the vault property is updated. Is this possible?

I'm using Vault 2012 Professional currently.

Are you using the item master, or the file based revisions?

You may want to turn on the Job Processor then to automate the bump of the revision

Without the Job Processor you have to select the files, then go to "Actions"> "Synchronize Properties"

With the job server you can modify the lifecycles to perform the synchronization when you change a state

I guess I'm missing a step. I can't seem to get a mapping right where the Vault revision property is mapped back to the custom property created in Vault that the file properties for revisions are mapped to.

I missed a step there too then

You have the Inventor property Revision Number, it's mapped to be updated from the Vault Property "Revision"

Or do you have another Vault property that's reading the File revision, that one may need to go
