Wonder what Al Gore will find to make money on next. Perhaps "Global Cooling"?

Heard his latest brilliant idea on the radio this morning ( maybe a clip from a late night talk show interview ) - Geothermal - "don't you know that 2 km down there is lots of heat - all we have to do is drill some wells, pump in water, and make steam to make electricity"

"the center of the Earth is millions of degrees hot" :loco:

Hey - we can use the geothermal energy to warm the planet to offset the global cooling!

And he can sell back all that carbon he is storing to add CO2 to the atmosphere to help with the oncoming ice age!

If you notice latey, the term global warming isn't used as much anymore. The new term is climate change. And the new pitch is that the global warming is now causing the weather to fluctuate and we may be in the start of global cooling. It's cold enough during the winter where I live, so I am all for this global warming thing

Here is a link up to an article that I thought was interesting. The gist of it is that even though CO2 has been steadily increasing for the last 11 years, the climate has not. So if there is a direct correlation between CO2 and temp, why hasn't it been increasing?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/8299079.stm

"But it is true. For the last 11 years we have not observed any increase in global temperatures.
And our climate models did not forecast it, even though man-made carbon dioxide, the gas thought to be responsible for warming our planet, has continued to rise.'

Here it feels like the summers are cooler and the winters are warmer and drier than when I was growing up. It also looks like the tides are a little higher.

I like the idea of drilling for geo thermal.

Dohhhhhh!!!!
I was depending on global warming to give me water front property in the years to come. My new house backs up to the backwaters of a creek that you may be able to get a kayak in at high tide. But I was hoping within 15 years I could at least move up to a Boston Whaler!

Man Ron, what a buzz kill!

I'm not sure if the hacked data is true or not, but I think it is worth it to take the time to figure it out. And now I read this.

"US President Barack Obama said Tuesday the world has moved "one step closer" to a "strong operational agreement" on climate change at next month's Copenhagen summit after his talks with Indian and Chinese leaders."
