Greetings,

I have been using iprop wiz for quite some time in a 2 user enviroment with my configuration folder in a shared location. All of a sudden today in an assembly configuration my exported mass is no longer being populated. I updated to version 5.0.4373.19504 on tuesday of this week. Nothing within my enviroment has changed. Any ideas? Thanks

Todd,

We made a change to the latest DLL that stops this from updating. Here's why: We were seeing some people with large assembling having VERY slow save and load times. This was due to IPW having to examine each and every part to make sure the mass was up to date.

Inventor itself tries to avoid updating the mass properties whenever possible (performance reasons) so they are often out of date. They provide the option to update mass properties on document save (off by default) but warn that updates to assemblies can take

Sean,

Can I uninstall the latest upgrade and go back to the previous DLL? If so can you provide this DLL? We use the assembly mass quite a bit and I would like to revert back to the previous version for now until you/Neal release the "manual" update version. Thanks a bunch!!!

Todd (and anyone else),

Sorry for the inconvenience. You can download the previous dll at http://www.ipropwiz.com/bin/iPropWiz_5.0.4188.24442.zip

You'll have to manually overwrite the existing dll since the update mechanism won't work with older dlls.

We should have a new dll that treats all doucuments a bit better up as early as tomorrow.

Neil

Neil/Sean,

No worries gentlemen! Your contribution to the CAD community forgives all. I actually tried overwriting the previous DLL but when I choose Help > About > the dialog box still shows version 5.0.4373.19504. I have attached a screen shot for your reference. Thanks again!

Was IV closed when you overwrote the DLL?

Neil, perhaps it did not register the DLL? (Recall the issues I had uninstalling when we were testing this update?)

I've posted new installers and an update that repair this issue. See the release notes for the latest update.
