It gave you an option on install but to do it again...

To reconfigure iPropWiz 5 correctly, do the following:

1. Delete the following file:
Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<your user name>\AppData\Local\C-Cubed\iPropWiz 5\iPropWiz5.config
Vista / Win 7: C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\C-Cubed\iPropWiz 5\iPropWiz5.config

2. Start Inventor and open a document

3. Start the iPropWiz Configuration Editor (not the Property Editor)

A dialog box will appear that will ask you for the location of:
Your iPropWiz 2009 configurations (you will have to enter you password if you have one)
The location for the new iPropWiz 5 configurations

4. You can now use the iPropWiz property editor.

Thanks Sean I got it that time.
I never got the translation dialog the first time becuase i just launched iProp and pointed it at the old config directory then got the error.
Once i did it that way the configurtaion editor would just launch with presenting the translation dialog.

So you fix raises a question for me. You had me delete a file that resides within my "roaming profile" area.
No that i have this working for me can I just replicate that path and file in al my users profiles? That way they would not have to point at the configuration folder on the first use, correct?

I am going to have to do this type of thing anyway with Kwikprints so if it will work for iProp it would be easiler for my users.

The application reads an application configuration file in C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\C-Cubed\iPropWiz 5 to locate the iPropWiz configuration data. If you can replicate it to the appropriate location on each user's system you should be good to go.

Thanks Neil that is exactly what I need to do. Kents add-in does the same type of thing so I can get my IT group to batch process this.
