It is the same with the whole sugar cane debate. If they use existing surplus then it is not a problem, but they plan to clear land to grow it just for fuel. The combined affects of the cleared vegetated land, the act of clearing the land, the work required to maintain, harvest & process the crop, all contribute to greenhouse emissions far more than the immediate savings they would yield. I heard it will take something like 300 years just to break even... :loco:

You got it...a lot of carts before the horses these days. I still think the entire debate is 99.9% political and .05% about "green house gasses".

(The other .05% in undecided.) :)
