Does anyone have a way of turning on/off adaptivity on multiple parts in an assy? You can do most everything else by selecting multiple parts and then RMB (visibility, enable/disable, grounded, properties, etc...) so why not adaptivity :?:

I have several assemblies with multiple cross braces (15 or more per assy) that are adaptive in length (each brace is a different length). I turn them all off (one by one) so as not to slow down IV but if something changes then I need to turn adaptivity back on (one by one) so they update in length. I just would like to select all the braces > RMB > Adaptivity on/off. Sounds so simple doesn't it?

Could something be programmed with VBA in this area?

And before anyone brings it up, in this application using a skeleton to control the lengths of each brace isn't a good option. I did give it consideration though.

This was the whole issue behind Kent's KwikGroups.

I don't know if we will ever see browser folders/groups from Adesk so Kent is our last hope to salvage our models from eternal damnation's adaptive (where used) wasteland.

I still believe they (Adesk) thinks they can do this with Design Views.... I dunno.... I would think that we need a group function regardless.

I keep thinking I need to get back to work on that one, but there has been too many things going on. I need a good chunk of time to try to get back on it. Things are slowing down a bit at work, so maybe when the sling comes off I can give it a shot again.

It is pretty easy to do in code (what Kent is alluding to). Bigger question is the need for a mechanism to turn them back on through a reasonable mechanism.
