Lets say I have an assembly. One of the parts in the assembly I want to make reference so the part isn't calculated in the Assembly BOM. I would like the view that contains the reference part to be shaded. In the assembly browser I right click the part and select Reference under the BOM heading.

When I go back to the drawing, that part no longer shows in the parts list, which is great. However, I can no longer get the part to show up as shaded. Is there a way to make a reference part show up as shaded in a drawing view?

See attached image. In the image, the main tube has been set to reference. I can no longer get the part to show as shaded in the drawing view though.

Thanks,

Kevin

Kevin,
Don't think this is possible, I would expect it to work as a normal part when you select As Part but it doesn't. I think this might have been discussed on here before. You will either need to just toggle the visibility in the parts list or use a parts list filter.
