Don't know if anyone else has installed 2013 yet and are using it, but I just installed and did some small localized tests to look for any issues. What I am totally stumped on is I can't seem to get Inventor to recognize when an IDW Template has been migrated. I have tried explicitly opening the file and migrating as well as using task scheduler to no avail. I think the file is actually migrated but Inventor keeps asking me to migrate the file when I open it up.

What really is confusion is that I get the same message when opening up a idw file that is not a template. I should not get a message about opening up a template file when opening a standard idw, unless something has changed in 2013 that I don't understand yet.

Hello Troy, :-)
You can check if a file is migrated by navigating to the file in Windows Explorer, RMB the file and select iProperties, you have an extra tab called "Details" when not using Inventor's iProperties option, if you select the Details tab, you have information like current save number, which version the file was created with and if it needs migrating.
Did the log from when your Task Scheduler migration task ran show any oddities?

Hope this helps

Scott

So it says it has been migrated to 2013, and no there were no oddities in the log file. Must be a bug in Inventor, I will log it now.

So working with Subscription tech support, it was narrowed down to some form of a corrupt User Profile. I am not sure what was corrupt but creating another user profile allowed the same file to be opened without issue.

I am copying the user profile over to the new one and should have it up and running in a few hours after everything is transferred.
