I have a user with a problem that I can not replicate (IV2012).

When he is in sketch mode he is not getting the auto constraints of line endpoints etc.
He can start the line command and draw a series of lines and none of them are connected.
He can draw a single line, restart the line command and can not get the green dot to contrain from the end point of the previous line.

There must be a setting somehwhere that is dodin this to him I just have not found it yet.

I had this problem just the other day. Somehow your constraint options are unselected (think autocad Osnap settings). in sketch mode, RMB on the window and select Contraint Options, then select ALL.

from http://wikihelp.autodesk.com/Inventor/enu/2012/Help/0073-Autodesk73/0308-Parts308/0333-Constrai333/0335-Plan_con335#references

Quote:
Access: In a sketch when no command is active, select Constraint Options from the right-click context menu.

Selects the constraints to be inferred. Selects (scopes) the geometry to which the constraints are inferred. The scoped geometry is shaded differently after the dialog box is closed, unless all geometry is selected.

Selection for Constraint Inference

Select All: Places a check mark in each active check box.

Clear All: Removes all check marks. No constraints are inferred.

Thanks for the quick fix there.
This is why I like Mcadforums for so many years.
I could spend 1/2 hour finding the simple answer myself OR post a five minute note here to be pointed in the right direction by someone that already knows.
Thanks..

Oh of course my user says "It just started happening yesterday...I did not change any settings"
