Hopefully someone can help me with this before I chuck this computer out of the nearest window.

I am getting a fairly regular problem as follows:-

If I have multiple windows open and close the current one, the screen continues to show the contents of the closed window although the model tree changes to show the active model tree. If I have multiple windows open then the tabs at the bottom of the screen correctly show the active window (and not the closed one).

So far the only way I have found to get the screen to show the active window is to either tab between 2 windows or if there is only one then open another part, then tab between the windows.

Any sugestions gratefully received

I am running Windows 7 64 & Inventor 2012

I have the same problem with Inventor 2012 in Win XP Pro 32 which suggests that this is an Inventor problem rather than Windows. I've checked that I have the latest graphics driver.

Hi Nick,

I'm also having the same problem as well as :-

- model view not refreshing on screen when rotating or adding parts (fixed by switching between documents) - not as frequent after installing hotfix ID DL17804781
- text on drawings appearing as garbage (have to close and restart inventor to fix that one)

I've tried different graphics drivers (including latest and certified) but no improvement.

Strange, only UK users reporting this problem.

Been discussing this with a collegue, he does not have this problem. The only difference between our set-up is that I have Inventor displaying on my secondary screen, he has his on his primary screen.

Just to add to the confusion, I said earlier that I have this persistance problem but we have 3 seats of Inventor in the office all installed from the same downloaded files. We all run XP installed from the same corporate disc & all use the same graphics card and drivers. It is only my PC that has this problem.
