I have a vendor model that is all surfaces. I go into the ipt and make the composite surface non-translucent and all looks fine in my ipt and the iam's that this is used in.
However, when placed into an IDW some of these surface just will not show up.

I tried "thickening" these areas but then only the ones that have been thickened show up.

Any Suggestions?

I can post a solidworks (the original from a step file) or my ipts (I have two parts with this issue.

You could put them on Dropbox or some free file service...

Not from here Sean...Big Boy Company with a massive blocking engine. I had to go through a help desk ticket to access your site. :bang:
Go ahead and try to look up pipe nipple and see if you search doesn't get snagged.
Oh and don't even think about using any equipment that is related to "Auto", blocked

I actually asked the vendor for these parts (germany) to resend me the modle files in the native format (SW 2009) instead of the step file they originally came in as. Hopefully that will solve this issue.

Random thoughts!
Could the normals of the reluctant surfaces be reversed?
What happens if you thicken and then include all surfaces?

Well Random thoughts are sometimes the key.

I had tried to thicken method but that made everything else but the thickened surfaces go away.

However, I just tried reversing the normals on those surfaces and thats the ticket.

Thanks for the Randomness
