Ok, after a LONG delay I have finally finished this tutorial. I was trying to make it perfect but the process is very complex. Consider this a living document that will be updates as we discover more about the inner working of the FG.

Be sure to read part 1 first:

Hi Sean,

I was doing some more work on my partslists, CC, FG, and sheetmetal (giving myself a headache.)

One thing I noticed a while back after installing SP2, the way FG worked changed slightly. The stock number no longer comes from the "Code" column in the database. The stock number now comes from the "Article" column. What this means is that the FG part's description (AFG_Item) and the stock number are going to be exactly the same. See my 2nd post on my tutorial.

Maybe if you get a chance, you can confirm it does the same on your machine. (See page 7 of your tutorial: CODE:... no longer true)

Rob
