I've been wondering if there is any documentation describing the extents and limitations of interoperability between the two programs. If anyone ( Ken :) ) can point me toward some it would be appreciated.

We played with it the other day. SE can open UG files but they are treated as dumb solids. No features are supported. If you make changes in UG, it is my understanding that you can still open and edit the changes you made SE.

From what little we tried, it seemed that it wasn't really worth the bother if you need to round trip the files.

Jeff, My understanding of it is that each system maintains it's own features, but are usable in each others other areas such as assemblies and drawings. And with direct editing, even the features can be manipulated
