Hi Brian,
just to keep you informed. Under Windows 7 x64 the "old" version needs to be uninstalled before you install the new one, you can not just install it over the old one as assumed above.

cheers

Matthias

To correct Brian's post -

The source code will be made available in the July/August issue of The Creative Inventor Magazine due out Mid-August. Free subscriptions to the magazine are available at: http://teknigroup.com/CI-Subscribe-Login.asp

Brian, I have upped the file attachment limit. You can now upload the source if you want.

BTW this is a great addin. Autodesk should have added this to the core code YEARS ago...

Does that mean you have adopted the new ribbon? :) I have not d/l this yet but assume it does not correctly work with classic interface or am I mistaken.

That is correct, sir. :) The add-in will load just fine (Inventor 2010 & 2011) but if you're running the Classic interface, nothing will be there for you to use. When Inventor starts up, my add-in does a check to see which interface is loaded (Ribbon or Classic) and reacts accordingly.

so happy to restore some functionality I lost from the switch from solidworks to inventor.
Only suggestions i had would be to make the diagonal center point rectangle, at least speaking for myself its the most used. Is there really a use for center point rectangle? since its limited by the inability to work w/ fillets/chamfers is there a use case for it? maybe there is, just curious. but at least the option to set it as the default would be nice. Or i might just set a keyboard shortcut for it i guess.

So if you provide the source code and I'm a smart enough bear I can take care of us sticklers? Cuz I'm not going Ribbon until I get a 1920 x 1200 2nd monitor - that thing is a horizontal pixel hog.

Personally, I don't use the diagonal center point rectangle. I don't really ever have the need to do chamfers and fillets on something where I use a rectangle. Either way, the default displayed button is, unfortunately, hard coded, but it's a very simple change, though. What I could do is provide two different installation versions; one with the regular center point rectangle as the default button and one with the diagonal center point rectangle as the default button.
