PropertiesWindowImg1.jpg

This addin is for Inventor 2012.

It is a Dockable Window where iProperties can be viewed or edited. Via a txt file (included), you may choose which properties to display. Custom property creation is also supported; just enter the custom property name in the txt file the same as any other property.

This is the first version of this addin, so any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated. :)

I found it : http://www.nestor.no/
Problem is that it is written in norway language, not so easy to understand...
It is a pay-addin, which seems good...

Hmmm, iTools looks suspiciously a bit like iPropWiz...

Well it is and it isn't. It just a different beast. I would say it was more like Yippee Pro2 was as far as the property editor goes. But is has way more added on mini-addins inside the program than Yippee Pro2.

I wouldn't say the iProperty functions are as indepth as iPropWiz, but they are sufficient to do everything I need to do.

You actually should be able to just register the dll file for Inv 2011, and disregard the .addin file. The method of addin installation changed between 2011 & 2012, but the dll should still be compatible.
I can't think of any reason why that wouldn't work. Let me know if it doesn't though.

I copy the file into the 2011 folders.
I do not know where to copy the data file
Inventor 2011 loads, but no trace of the addin into the list of addin charged...

I was trying to install your addin for 2011 but have run into some problems.

When I tried to register the dll file using (regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 2011\Bin\PropertiesWindow1.dll")

I get the following message:

regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 2011\Bin\PropertiesWindow1.dll"was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found. The file can not be registered.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Is there the ability to have a dropdown list for possible values for custom properties. For example I want a "Finish" custom iproperty and want to select between red, white or blue paint?
