I am using inventor sheel metal standard save format (*.dxf,*.dwg,*.sat)
If you want to have inventor to save to .geo format, then you have to contact Autodesk about this.

I don't know TruTops software but acc. to this
http://www.bettomacchine.it/images/2011/TruTops_en.pdf
Trutops software support *.ipt (Inventor part) *.sat
Why do you export the files, if the Truetops software can open inventor files ?

I need this because i use punching machine so i need 2d flat pattern. And the software who do the program fot this machine can work only with geo files. So with your add-in i create a dxf file and after that i must convert all this in geo files.

Ok, thanks. So i try to do a string for convert in bach a *.dxf file exported with your add-in, from one folder to another. But i thing this function can be very appreciated in your add-in for many people. If you agree i post you in pvt some documentation and the conversion program, because for you must be so easy do this implementation. Let me know.

Hi there,

Is there any chance of getting a version of this add in that works for 2012?

I have been using it on 2011 and it saves so much time exporting parts for laser cut! I recently upgraded and now I have to go back to manually exporting each flat pattern.

Thanks.

Have you tried to re-install or make sure the add-in is turned on?

I am interested about the 2012 Inventor version as well. Although, I am still waiting for my usb stick to arrive....

I can't explain how valuable this tool is to me on a daily basis. By far one of the best add-ins/tools/timesavers that I use with Inventor.

Yes, I have reinstalled and still nothing. The add in appears in the browser but it will not export. Tells me that the current file is not exported.

2012 is great by the way. However make sure you install the service pack. Also there is a hot fix that relates to .idw creation that will save you lots of crashes.

I just realized you were saying 2012 in your previous posts. I meant to say 2013.... I was using iFlatpattern export on 2012 and was curious if it would work with 2013. I'm installing 2013 now and will see if I can get it to work.
