An add-in to export sheet metal parts.... I know there are enough free add-ins available to do this, but none of them was good enough for me, so I build it myself.
The difference with other programs is the control over the export files. So you can change layer names and color and configure the filename of the DXF. Output in STEP or DWG is also supported.

You can download the program from my site. The site is in the Dutch language, but the program is in English. It will work for Inventor 2010/2011/2012 32/64 bit. Please give me a response when you find something to make the program better.

I've attached the manual here to have a preview of the functions before installing.

The problem of the wrong conversion to inches in the thickness and dimensions field is solved now.
To use the program when editing an assebly or part within another assembly is also possible now.

There is a new version available on my site www.peppingmd.nl/inventor-tools/plaatuitslagen
It works for Inventor 2011/2012/2013.

- you can choose each color and name for contour lines and bend/feature lines.
- store files automaticaly in folders, sorted by thickness and material
- automatic create extends of flat pattern for all parts in assy to selected iProperty.
- if your drawings and parts have the same file name, you can generate pdf's of all drawings in an assy in one click.

Please send me a comment when you have tips to make the program better.

I have a macro doing this but thought I'd give it a go. Get an error message saying 'Export process cancelled! File names are not unique. Please check File name settings.'. Attached is the window with the file names. What is wrong?

Using Inventor PDS 2012 64 bit.

Thanks for the reply!
Under settings you have choosen for 'Part Number' I think. If there are 2 generated file names of the DXF are the same, the program stops and gives a warning.
I've tested this function and there is a bug in it.
I have solved this and you can download the new version on my website.
