Just wondering if any of the SW guys out there know how to create a custom thread? I am using the hole wizard to create the hole and thread.

the thread is an 11/16-20 un -2b. the current hole wizard seems to to have 1/2, 5/8, and then jumps to 3/4.

I am using 05 SW.

thanks

steve

I just use the Cosmetic Thread Annotation.
Also try to go through all the different standard in thread size like DIN, Progressive etc.

I'm just curious what your application is? I mean, you can't buy 11/16 thread screws can you, I don't see any on McMaster.com?

the thread size is a UN thread size, not your standard threads. IE unc or unf.

its just a different type of thread like butress threads.

If the thread has a UN notation it has to conform to the standard UN thread form;
http://www.efunda.com/DesignStandards/s ... _intro.cfm

The 11/16"-20 dimensions (and many others) can also be found at that link.
