I got drawing with holes marked alphabetically. We need to modify the A hole to a square one and eliminated the S hole.

In my current life I'm working with fairly large pieces of equipment that require steel structures to help with shipping, field installation and line-up.

These are all grouped under the "Erection Fixture" section.

I still feel a little uncomfortable every time Male and Female cavities are brought up. Must be that puritan upbringing.

This one has always confused me.

We use quick disconnect connectors for our sensors.

One has protruding pins that are sunk into a cavity. The other has sockets that protrude from the fitting end.

According to the manufacturer the former is a "female" while the latter is a "male". Seems backwards to me. We always end up ordering the wrong one...

Yeah, male cavity is an oxymoron. M/F is just a descriptor to be applied to anything, not specific terminology. Sand casting has specific

I've recently had a funny prank I pulled on a co-worker. Here's the story on my blog: Super Geek
