Below is a link to some of the enhancements in SolidWorks 2008 that has some bearing on this great discussion we had a few months back. When inserting a Part into a new Part, you can now bring in unabsorbed and absorbed sketches along with a few other items.

If I understand what is meant by master sketch, I wouldn't use them in any 3D package.

I think you might want to get some training. If your company does not provide training there are several tutorials available on this site.

Why do you say this? It is, in fact, a VERY powerful modeling technique.

It should be: I won't use any 3D package without MS.
Unless you have problem with turning 8 hrs of work into 15 min.
Also the peace of mind knowing everything will fit together and every hole will line up is priceless.

So if you know something better please share.
