Having problems converting phantom linetype to acad.
Layer is set to phantom (SW). How do I map phantom layer to equivilant acad layer?

Are you using a map file when you save the .dwg from SolidWorks?
When you are in the Save As dialog box choose .dwg as the file type and click options, you can set up a map file from there to control what layers are created in the .dwg file.

Yes I am using a map file...visible, hidden, center lines, dimensions all come out on the correct layers...I just can't get phantom line to come out on the correct layer. I have the items I want to come out phantom set to layer PHA with line style PHANTOM and line weight THIN in SW...I have the map file set to map user - thin to layer PHA. When I save to dwg everything I want phantom ends up on layer OBJ (visible line layer)....anybody got any ideas?

Shev,
Maybe if you posted the SW file and the map file someone here could help us.

There is a known bug in SW06 when exporting files to Acad. That the Phantom lines are exported as Visible lines. You will have to change them manually in ACAD and turn this into your VAR if you want it fixed down the road.
