If I have project X and project Y, and there are some components
from X used in Y, what are the repercussions of archiving project X
out of the vault?

Will the files in X automatically be copied to project Y, or will
they just archive out with X leaving me with some resolve errors
when I open assembly Y?

Are you referring to the Autodesk product Vault, or does solidworks have something similar available?
