I don't see any way of doing this quickly, but I thought I'd ask my colleagues anyway: Has anyone come up with a quick way to show only SOME hidden edges in a view? I work with castings, and they have a lot of fillets and, often, fairly complex geometry, feature-wise. I usually avoid a great deal of confusion & clutter on the drawing by never choosing Hidden Lines Visible, since SW will show every edge through the entire part, no matter how insignificant it is in terms of clarifying the view, which would generally create a rat's nest of dashed lines that obscure the features I'm trying to illustrate for a pattern maker.
Sometimes, however, I do want to show the hidden edges of a particular feature, to clarify something about its relation to other features. If I chose Hidden Lines Visible I could then manually remove ALL the edges except the ones I want to show, but that would take maybe an hour in some cases, so obviously it wouldn't be practical.
Also, I thought I'd read, somewhere in this group, mention of the ability to define a depth into a part beyond which no hidden edges should show in a drawing view, but I don't see anything about that in my documentation. This is ver 2010.

First turn off hidden lines......expand the view in the tree down to the feature you want. Right click the feature, select "Show/Hide", then Show Hidden edges.
