That said: We are looking for an CAD Drafter/Designer w/Inventor and Electrical experience. Applicants are expected to have a good working knowledge of the software packages, plus ability to work in a design group environment. Autodesk Vault experience is a plus.

Although listing asks for a minimum three (3) years of experience, new or recent Technical School / College graduates from accredited institutions are still encouraged to apply.

Job Description:
[*]Develops drawing packages for designs of new products and makes improvements to existing products documentation using AUTOCAD INVENTOR software. Creates and develops 3D models and technical drawings of component or electronic systems and sub systems.
[*]Technical drawings are used to communicate engineering ideas, design, and information. Uses recognized systems of symbols, legends, shadings, and lines having specific meanings in drawings. Knowledge of applicable CAD design and documentation standards and their application in documentation.
[*]Prepares technical drawings of simple, easily visualized structures, systems, parts or equipment from sketches or marked-up prints. Creates technical documentation and drawings electrical and mechanical components and systems.
[*]Performs mechanical and electrical drafting work using AUTOCAD and AUTOCAD INVENTOR, requiring knowledge and skill in drafting methods, procedures, and techniques. May check the work of other drafters for accuracy and completeness.
[*]Exercises independent judgment in selecting and interpreting data based on knowledge of design intent.
[*]Ability to resolve most design problems and issues encountered both independently and with others.
[*]Makes arithmetic computations using standard formulas with regards to sizing and dimensioning.

Basic Qualifications:
[*]Technical Training plus a minimum of three (3) years of directly related experience with related formal CAD/CAM training.
[*]Must be experienced using AUTOCAD 2010 or newer; AUTOCAD INVENTOR experience highly desired. 3D modeling experience of components and systems, especially of electrical and electronic equipment.
[*]Experience creating technical drawings for equipment including: mechanical detail drawings, mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly drawings.
[*]Experience preparing and editing drawings of electrical components and sub components and full system assembly drawings.
[*]Must be able to obtain and maintain government security clearance (SECRET-level)
