After a couple of years being sidetracked with some AutoCAD projects, I need to rediscover automating Inventor.

If I remember correctly, the interface is still com and there was a huge hit in performance using .net. Has this changed any? I'm primarily doing all my stuff in C# and C++ these days and I refuse to go back to VB.

No worries. VS2005 is the preferred environment for add-ins in IV2008. Much improved since R11 and VS2003.

Thanks.

I notice most of the new samples are C++ which is VERY interesting because I asked - point blank at AU dev converence 2 years ago and was told to start using VB.
